What is Developmental Supervision?
Developmental Supervision is a practice grounded on collegial collaboration between teachers and supervisors. Based in trust and the shared goal of improving student learning, teachers and supervisors engage in an on-going process of reflection and action. Our school vision is student-centered, focused on fostering a school environment that challenges students to reach their full potential. Our teachers value the quality of instruction they provide to achieve this vision. Therefore, the relationship between teachers and supervisors must reflect this vision as well. Through meaningful discussion, purposeful action, and reflective thinking our supervisory goal is to uphold our school vision, committing to the continued efforts of improving student learning.
The following tabs will connect you to documents which provide insight into my personal beliefs regarding Developmental Supervision.
